The College of Optometry faculty has a range and depth of expertise, in all fields of optometric practice and vision science scholarship on a level with other optometry schools. College of Optometry faculty are leaders in their fields: setting the debates in visual and optical science theory and optometric policy; opening up new lines of inquiry; and working out solutions to patient's vision problems. Twenty four professors, associate and assistant professors hold positions on the faculty, making it possible for the College of Optometry to offer intellectually stimulating courses and clinical experiences in the professional and graduate level curriculum. The College of Optometry invites a carefully selected group of part-time faculty to teach each year, along with preeminent optometrists in practice in a variety of clinical settings, who in combination with our full-time faculty, make it possible for students to interact and work with some of the top optometric minds in the country.
