The UMSL College of Optometry successfully invaded the city of New Orleans, October 7-10 for the annual meeting of the American Academy of Optometry. A total of 18 faculty, alumni, and students presented nine courses and papers in addition to seven scientific posters. These are appended to this report. In addition, the College hosted a very successful alumni reception; so successful, in fact that the room could not hold everyone and a large number of alumni and students were able to mingle with classmates and with faculty. The success of this event certainly makes it very likely to have an alumni reception at the 2016 meeting in Anaheim. And speaking of receptions, please join us for our annual reception at the Heart of America to be held Friday, February 12th from 8 – 9 PM in the usual location, the Van Horn room. See you there!
